U-16 Coaching Staff Announcement

The Rockford Hockey Club is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Raitis Ivanāns to our coaching staff. He will be the head coach of the U-16 team for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. He has an expansive hockey background including playing 7 years and over 280 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). His ties to Rockford started while playing for the Rockford IceHogs during the 2002-2003 season. He has a total 17 years of professional hockey experience and has competed internationally for his country of Latvia several times including the 2008 IIHF Men’s World Ice Hockey Championship.  During his NHL Career he played for the Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames.  

With his vast amount of experience and hockey knowledge, the organization believes that he will be able to offer a highly competitive level of coaching and play for the U-16 level.

Bantam A wins Presidents Cup

Congratulations to the Bantam A team for claiming the Presidents Cup in the Bronze level. With 1 game remaining Bantam A also claimed the #1 seed for the NIHL playoffs with a record of 11-1-3.

RHC Bantam A's take home the Championship in the 2016 Pettit Invitational Tournament in Milwaukee, WI. The went 3-0, and outscored their opponents 18-2!

The club has been in existence over 30 years and strives to maintain a positive, fun learning environment for the developing skater and continue with the past success the Rockford Hockey Club has achieved, pursuing a high standard of ethics, organization, and competitiveness for the future of the Club through integrity, leadership, and responsibility with the focus on increased membership, successful fundraising, and committed/qualified coaching with the end result being quality play for all members.
