Tate is fourth RHC player in 3 years to earn a spot on top level Brick team

Tate Schmidt is the fourth RHC player in 3 years to tryout and be selected for the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks Brick tournament team.  Players from previous years include John Wojciechowski (2003), Brandon Heck (2003) and Hunter Hill (2004).

The Brick Invitational is the top hockey tournament in the world for 10 year old players. It features the best of the best from across North America. This exclusive team and tournament is by invitation only and is an opportunity of a lifetime for players to tryout and represent the Blackhawks on the world stage. The Chicago Jr. Blackhawks Brick Hockey Club will be coached by Yanic Perreault, the Blackhawks Development Coach, and will represent Illinois at the prestigious Brick Invitational tournament in Edmonton, Alberta in early July of 2015 at West Edmonton Mall.
